Dodgeball Tournament Raises Money for Charity

On November 9, 2019, JTF hosted the Veterans Day Dodgeball Tournament at the Frostburg Armory. This was the 3rd year for tournament and JTF saw the biggest turnout so far. Eight teams participated in the tournament and the Armory was filled to the brim with spectators. In addition to dodgeball enthusiasts, Weekend Puppy Raisers from America’s Vetdogs’ program in WCI Cumberland attended.

The competition was fierce and tight. Many matches came down to the third game. In the end, the Average Jacks, who have participated all three years, came out victorious. The Outlaws ended up in second place and 50 Shades of Gray came in third place.

In addition to great dodgeball, the other purpose of the tournament was to raise money for America’s Vetdogs who provide service animals to Veterans and First Responders free of charge. JTF donated a portion of the entry fees and the first and third place teams donated back their winnings. In total, JTF was able to donate $300.

Watch out for next year’s Dodgball Tournament!
