JTF is happy to announce the charity that will benefit from our Veterans Day Dodgeball Tournament will be America’s VetDogs. America’s VetDogs provide service dogs to Veteran’s and First Responders free of charge. Locally, the organization conducts a puppy training program with the inmates at WCI in Cumberland.
On the weekend, the puppies from the prison program go home with Weekend Puppy Raisers. The Weekend Puppy Raisers are local volunteers who provide the puppy with extra socialization that is not possible in a prison environment. Since our tournament this year is on a Saturday, the current puppies in the program will be attending. Dodgeball participants will be able to learn about the program and being a Weekend Puppy Raiser.
